Synopsis

After forty years of peace, humanity’s old enemy returns. The Cylons—machines originally created by humans—have evolved, and some now look completely human. Their surprise assault devastates the Twelve Colonies.

The aging Battlestar Galactica survives the attack, leaving Commander William Adama and the remnants of humanity facing an almost impossible task: escape the Cylons, preserve the surviving fleet, and find some hope for humanity’s future. Carver’s novel adapts the story that launched the acclaimed reimagined Battlestar Galactica.

EugeneBookStore Summary

This is the novelization of the acclaimed 2003 Battlestar Galactica miniseries that launched the reimagined television series. It retells the destruction of the Twelve Colonies and the Galactica’s desperate attempt to lead humanity’s survivors away from the Cylons.

For EBS, this has broader appeal than an ordinary media tie-in because Battlestar Galactica retains a substantial science-fiction fan base and the book serves as the starting point for the Tor tie-in sequence.
